Inscriptional Physics

Inscription is a property of matter. It is a set of instruction embedded in an object.

Originemology is the discipline that studies how information, structures, or phenomena come into being by tracing the physical, logical, or conceptual inscriptions that give rise to them.
It asks:
  • What inscribed this?
  • On what medium?
  • By what mechanism?
  • From what prior structure?
  • What is the ancestral chain that made this possible?
It treats every object or idea as the final link in a chain of inscriptions.

What Originemology studies:

1. Origins of ideas
How a concept forms, what prior concepts it depends on, and how it becomes encoded in language or symbols.

2. Origins of objects
How physical structures arise from earlier structures — from atoms to tools to machines.

3. Origins of life and mind
How biological information (DNA, behavior, cognition) emerges from physical inscriptions.

4. Origins of information
How patterns become meaningful, how meaning is encoded, and how systems acquire or generate information.

5. Origins of systems
How complex systems (technologies, languages, theories, cultures) evolve from simpler inscriptions.
